The Bauer Media Group publishes many iconic magazines across Europe. Centred in Hamburg, Germany, they are managers for over 600 magazines. And their portfolio goes further than that with more than 400 digital products and 50 radio & TV shows across the globe. The media group have a focus on music media, with the company publishing magazines such as QKerrang! and Mojo. Demographics/target audiences among these magazine are sometimes niche, with magazines such as Country Walking joining the companies media presence.
Target audiences vary from magazine to magazine. Content type heavily influences the ethnicities, age and gender of their potential consumers. For example, FHM has and is aimed at a predominately male audience, and the content within the magazine itself suggests this. Ages this magazine is focused towards is, according to Romeike Media Intelligence, men over 20yrs. Summit Media suggests that audiences are aged 18-35 years old.
The magazine; Kerrang!'s demographic is mainly ABC1 (Upper-middle class, Middle class, and Lower-middle class). With target audience of mainly male 17-24 year old rock fans.
Bauer Media Group has a limited partnership under German law, so it is not a subsidiary of another company.
